University of Leicester
The University of Leicester is a public research university based in Leicester, England.
It named University of the Year by the Times Higher Education and ranked 13th among British universities by The Guardian in 2014.
University of Leicester has four major departments Humanities & Law; Science & Engineering; Social Science & Medicine; Biological Science & Psychology
University of Leicester is home to a large medical school, Leicester Medical School, which opened in 1971. It has a world-class reputation for work in Cardiovascular Medicine, Physics and Space Science.
University of Surrey
Ranked 4 by the Guardian
The University of Surrey is a public research university located within the county town of Guildford, Surrey, in the South East of England, United Kingdom. The university specializes in science, engineering, medicine and business.
The university conducts research on small satellites and has a high number of staff who are members of learned societies. The university has recently expanded into China by launching the Surrey International Institute with Dongbei University of Finance and Economics.
The university is a major center for satellite and mobile communications research. In March 2014, the British Prime Minister David Cameron announced a partnership between the University of Surrey, King’s College London and the University of Dresden for the development of 5G technology.
The University of Surrey has today been ranked fourth in the Guardian University Guide 2016.
Royal Holloway, University of London (RHUL)
Royal Holloway, University of London (RHUL), is a public research university and a constituent college of the federal University of London. It has three faculties, 20 academic departments.
It is particularly strong in arts and humanities. Admission into courses in English, Creative Writing, Psychology and Music are very competitive with a 9:1 applicants to place ratio. Royal Holloway’s degree courses in Music, Information Security, Physics, International Relations, Earth Sciences, and Media Arts are also particularly strong, frequently ranking in the top 10 of national subject rankings.
