Students learn how to think creatively and solve problems by analyzing and thinking critically in order to reach logical conclusions. While the Murray State campus is the main campus, its academic programs extend to four partner campuses in the area. Nearly the entire faculty is full-time, and a large majority has the terminal degree in their field.

Pell Grants are available, as are Federal SEOG grants and Kentucky Higher Education Association grants.
