Durham College of Applied Arts and Technology is located in the Durham Region with campuses in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. Durham also has campuses in Durham and Whit by and additional locations in Uxbridge, Port Hope, Port Perry and Beaverton. Durham College is home to more than 7,000 full-time students, thousands of part-time students and more than 1,600 apprentices. Durham College has a shared campus and facilities with the University of Ontario, Institute of Technology (UOIT). For students who are looking for a fast and efficient way to upgrade their degrees, Durham College offers “compressed fast track programs” in a number of fields. These programs are designed specifically for both domestic and international applicants who hold a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university. Students can complete the diploma requirements in two semesters, while learning the advanced skills necessary for employment within their field of study. Durham College offers students a variety of postgraduate programs, including Addictions & Mental Health, Law Enforcement & Investigation, Human Resources Management, Victimology, and Sports Business Management and much more. Above that, they offer over 100 programs at the undergraduate level ranging from fields of Science & Engineering Technology to Justice & Emergency Services and Art & Design. Amongst the most notable alumni of Durham College is Jeffrey S. Boyce, who is now the President and CEO of Sure Energy Inc. and received a Premier’s Award in 2006. Jeffery Boyce graduated with a degree in General Business and Specialization in marketing as well. Another alumnus who excelled in her career is Patricia O’Connor who has become the founding member of the Canadian Association of Aero-medical Transport, and recipient of the Order of Canada in 2007 and recipient of the Premier’s Award in 2009.
